The visual language of this film is intimate and immersive. Shot primarily from first-person
perspective, the camera doesn't maintain documentary distance but enters the experience. I (and
the audience) run with children across fields, climb trees with them, feel dirt under our
fingernails, experience their breathless energy. This approach creates this observatory
documentary.
The film employs no interviews and minimal narration. Meaning emerges through observational
sequences that reveal character through action, ambient sound that immerses viewers in the sonic
landscape, and durational takes that allow moments to breathe. I embrace imperfection as
authenticity such as handheld shakiness, natural light fluctuations, spontaneous framing. This
isn't polished observational cinema but lived cinema, prioritizing genuine relationship between
me and children over technical perfection.
