Shiyuan is a screenwriter and concept creator who develops original high-concept stories across multiple moving-image platforms. Her writing explores abstract philosophical concepts and grounds them in concrete, emotionally resonant narratives, incorporating surreal, absurd, and otherworldly elements within transnational contexts.
Shiyuan's work has been screened at the Museum of the Moving Image, the Linwood Dunn Theatre (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences), Angelika Film Center, Regal LA Live, and other places. Her previous work also won Best Script at the Roma Short Film Festival.
Shiyuan's upcoming projects include "Wandering Elephants" (feature screenplay), a revolutionary AI director story (short film), and a VR experience series. She also works as a film marketing consultant, specializing in EPK production and distribution strategy.
Her professional experience includes working as an acquisition assistant at the Festival de Cannes and the Toronto International Film Festival.
